All dog owners will know that nothing is enough for Fido / Spot / Rufus. Which makes the new tech-crazy Buddy dog collar from Squeaker, currently raising funds on Kickstarter, something of an inevitability.
Billed as “The Dog Collar Reimagined”, Buddy is “an LED dog collar with GPS and Bluetooth technology that keeps dogs safe while tracking and organising your pet’s daily activity”.
The idea is that the collar will keep your hound safe by monitoring his or her whereabouts, while the LED lighting will keep man’s best friend illuminated at night.
But that’s not the half of it: Buddy also includes activity and health monitoring, a social community for dogs, alerts and reminders for vet visits, light and temperature sensors, health statistics and a food scanner. No wonder it is going to sell for more than $AUS 200.
