We’re big fans of wearable tech but frankly this gives us the creeps: architect and interaction designer Behnaz Farahi has created a new 3D printed cape that senses when you are looking at it and reacts accordingly “with life-like behaviour”.

Having yet to handle it ourselves, we’re not 100% sure what this behaviour might be. But from the promotional video, it looks like the cape puffs itself up like an angered fish when disturbed.

“What if our outfit could recognise and respond to the gaze of the other?” Farahi asks in the video’s description. Well, we’re not sure we’d like it.

Even the name of the cape gives us the jitters: Caress of the Gaze. Brrrr.
