Piracy may be a problem for games developers but if we were Rovio we’d think very carefully about going after the latest person to rip off Angry Birds: North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong-un.
Angry Birds Rio comes loaded on new North Korean tablet Samjiyon, launched apparently to help the country improve its image in foreign eyes, but Rovio has confirmed to the Washington Post that it had nothing to do with it.
“Angry Birds Rio has not been localised into Korean, and Rovio Entertainment has no affiliation with the version of the game being shown on the Samjiyon tablet,” it told the newspaper.
Annoying. But, er, Rovio, we’d leave it there if we were you.
