Yes, it was only a matter of time but wearable tech reached the world of sports dishonesty. Italian chess player Arcangelo Ricciardi was booted out of a tournament this week after allegedly using a hidden camera and some kind of wired device under his armpit to receive in-game instruction.

The Telegraph reports that, rather brilliantly, when the 4cm box was discovered under Ricciardi’s armpit he claimed it was a good luck charm.
